We have been taking photographs for some time but, since the advent of compact digital cameras, we have experienced a new lease of life. The new technology means that we carry our cameras with us everywhere we go and are able to make the most of the opportunities that abound.
We are surrounded by reflections, rhythms, colours, humour and beauty. All we have to do is keep our eyes open and try to capture what they see with our cameras.
There is, inevitably, an element of competition in this between the two of us but the interesting thing is that we can take 100 pictures each in a particular spot and always we have a different 'take' on the subject.
